Ikhephu Agricultural Secondary Cooperative seeks to facilitate a set of market led interactions to stimulate the involvement of historically disadvantaged farmers (HDF) in the formal livestock industry in the service area of the 5 Cooperatives, i.e. Tsomo Valley Cooperative, Umthombo Cooperative, Cicirha Ntungele Cooperative, Ithemba Cooperative and Beestekraal Cooperative, that are part of the Cooperative. Such an intervention would be targeted at those communal farmers wishing to farm commercially as well as those who have gained access to land in commercial areas though land reform processes and other means. The total area is 62 000 ha.
